Hi all, for the benefit of those that couldn't make it this time
around, can someone link to or give us a quick run down on all the
projects that launched over the weekend?

I'm really keen to hit up the next camp, so any background details
from the one that ran over the weekend (e.g. lessons learned etc.)
would be great :-)

Cheers,
Shaon

Plenty of write ups. Ross Dawson has the most extensive

Experience was truly awesome. Everyone involved blew themselves away by what could be accomplished. A lot of people went for a full 40 hours. The best of us got 4 hours sleep; others maybe had a 15 hour nap.

The format of the camp seems to really have evolved (Melbourne's experience I hear is that they learned more, but achieved less). It's a delicate balance, and I think the structured nature of the camp is its strongest and weakest points. For example, being forced to send press releases for a product by a certain time that still isn't working causes first impressions harm. To be fair though, it creates focus and forces you to better experience things.

Overall, I think people came out of it feeling more energised about creating something for themselves and less scared about building a business.

Was a great weekend. Our team launched GiveDo.com. Starting to get
some traction with some local and overseas charities now. I'd
recommend that if you are doing a web app, that the servers are all
ready including email, before you even get to the venue. It wastes
time setting up all that stuff.

Other than that, I'd like to focus more on the marketing side of
things at the next camp. Coding for 24 hours straight just zapped up
my energy for the rest of the weekend.
