Thank you very much! This works great! I tried it on a couple of
websites and it works. I didn't work on one but I am still tinkering

Hello, I'm trying to get KYRK - The Rock of New Orleans to work, but
cant figure out how to extract the URL from the player. Was wondering
if anyone else would have any luck.

I found an answer! For all of us who have favorite stations that are
embedded in shockwave streams, etc etc.. here's the solution:

There are two tiny little bits to download, the URLSnooper is the one
that actually pulls out the stream urls, and its awesome.

I would love to help you out but this radio station embeds their
stream into a shockwave player. I still don't know how to extract the
streaming url.

I'm trying to yank out the URL for [link] and having
zero luck. It seems they use Silverlight for their streaming. Le sigh.
Any suggestions?

Blair,

I would love to be able to help you out by getting you the stream
for the radio station but it is embedded into a shockwave player. I
do not know how to extract a streaming url from a swf file. If
someone else does, please let me know so we can add them to the
gadget. Sorry about that, Blair.

I am sorry it has taken me a week to get back to you. I have sad
news. I was unable to get three out of the four stations working. I
was still unable to extract a streaming URL due to the fact that the
stream is encoded in a shockwave file. I am sorry I am unable to help
you. Maybe someone else knows how to extract streams from a shockwave

Sorry it took me a little while to get back to you. I would love to
tell you I have good news but I don't. I was able to get the player
to work at all. I am not sure what the problem is but I think it is
on their end. I tried it on two different browsers and got nothing.
If anything changes, I will let you know.
