I have a question probably for Ian or Kyran, but I'll ask it here so
that others can benefit from the answer.

What is the policy regarding which videos can be viewed by everyone
and which videos one must have purchased a membership to view?
I thought I saw at one time that videos had to be on ShowMeDo for a
year before non-members could view them. Now it looks like only a few
that Ian did like those on Open Office require membership.

I'm asking partly just because I'm curious and partly because I'm
wondering about using ShowMeDo to host a few videos for a class that I
teach. Can I post a video on ShowMeDo and then post a URL to it so
that my students (non-members) will be able to see it? Of course, I
don't care if people other than my students watch them also.

The membership is exclusively of the videos produced for the Club by
Ian Oszvald, John Montgomery, Kyran, Lucas Holland, and hopefully me
too, soon.

So uploading to Showmedo from your account will always upload to the
share-to-all group of videos, unless you've talked about making Club
videos with Kyran.

yep - just to reiterate Gatso, the only club videos are those produced by a small team. That helps to fund the site, as I'm still keen to avoid plastering any adverts over the place. All other videos, including (@Tim) those you might produce, are free and under a Creative Commons license. So you have full control over them.

So please post any class videos, and let the rest of us benefit from your undoubted expertise.

cheers,
Kyran
