  Apparently I didn't get the memo about Shoes moving to librelist. It's fine. Anyway, I'm there now =D

Shoes packaging files seem to have fallen off Heroku
  This could well have been like this for ages. Darktakta made the changes to pack.rb to reference shoes.heroku.com, e.g: [link]{RELEASE_NAME.downcase}/#{plat form}/shoes But these files don't seem to exist anymore (unless I'm going mad). Any chance we could get them put back? Also, looks like pack.rb is not failing appropriately when it can't find... more »

What is necessary to release Policeman?
  Hi all, I feel sad to hear someone asked "Is Shoes still alive?" :( I know we can't do well like _why. But believe to be able to continue developing Shoes. :) So, I think we have to decide release schedule and make to-do list for Policeman. The latest Policeman has something Raisins doesn't: - Ruby 1.9.1... more »

Why must external modules of Shoes 3 apps reference Shoes class?
  Dear Shoes Folk, please could someone explain this to me: In Shoes 2 I could have a module in an external file and create a slot and use ":attach => Window". However in Shoes 3 I must use ":attach => Shoes::Window" as otherwise I get "uninitialized constant UI::Window" Probably better explained with an actual example:... more »

Building Shoes on 64 bit Linux
  Steve and others, I've been going through some of the issues open on Shoes. There's issue 13 on Shoes regarding being unable to build on 64 bit Linux. In commenting on the issue, I recalled (slightly incorrectly it seems) you having issues with Shoes on 64 Bit Linux and commented that "as far as I knew it wouldn't build on 64 Bit Linux".... more »

A new option :dash
  Hi all, I've been learning the way to add a new function into Policeman. Look at this: [link] This is trivial, though. ;-) Cheers, ashbb

mac os x glib error
  Hi Marylou, Both mailing lists are being used. If you are building on OSX (I assume Intel?) then you should be able to use the pre-built deps: [link] I know I had some problems when trying to build everything from scratch (OSX PPC), but I can't remember at what point it failed. Not... more »

Uninitialized constant Encoding::UTF_16BE with 'CGI'
  ashbb and all, Ok, I've tracked it down. I've not attempted to fix the issue yet though. Please see this gist / sample app: [link] <[link]>This app works fine in Shoes 2. With Shoes 3 it throws an "Uninitialized constant Encoding::UTF_16BE". The error seems to... more »

FAO: Anuj/andhapp and OSX folk: Issue 5 Flow Slots
  Anuj/andhapp, I've commented on issue 5: [link] <[link]>Could someone else try this fix (I can't take credit) on OSX and see if it has any detrimental effects elsewhere. Perhaps try some of the samples, etc. This might also fix issue... more »

FAO: Devyn and other Linux users: Issue 16, building Shoes on Linux
  Devyn and all, could someone help out Pronix who opened this issue: [link] <[link]>They are trying to build Shoes on Fedora12, 32Bit with Ruby 1.8.6. I'm assuming it's Ruby 1.8.6 that is the issue, i.e. should be Ruby 1.9.1.... more »
