Great IDEA from Hungary to discuss.Gergly Buglyo (the organizer of ESC/
WOSC 2010 in Debrecin) have good Idea for making event "ESC WOWC 2012
in Krakow" more fun and amazing.

The plan is to make 1st Team tournament, we totally support this Idea,
but as it can be made for 1st time we have some thinks to discuss and
solve like: how many rounds?, How many players in team?, Which time
limit?, When?. Probably it can be easier to solve this problems, if
everyone can answer on the questions below.

1. Would your country participate in a European Team Championship of
Shogi as part of ESC/WOSC in 2011, Krakow?

- Yes, we would like to take part.
- No, we can't take part at this time (in this case, don't answer
question 2 and 3)

2. How many players are you sending to the event?

- We're sending 5 or more players (we could set up a team of 5)
- We're sending 3 or 4 players (we could set up a team of 3)
- We're sending less than 3 (we can't set up a team)

3. At what time would you like the team event to be organized?

- Thursday morning, lasting until the afternoon (before the Blitz -
early registration required)
- Sunday afternoon, lasting until the evening
- Another time (please specify)

4. Do You prefer Swiss System or Knock out system?
- We prefer Swiss System
- We prefer Knock Out System.
- We prefer Robin Rounds.

We think that once the poll is answered, we could get a rough idea
whether the team tournament can be organized. Hope You like this Idea,
please discuss and full fill the pools till end of January.

Personally I think. The Period can be Thursday morning. We can play 4
rounds 30+30 Swiss System.
3 players in team then it is possible that more teams can play.

Dear Adrian,

Thank you for supporting our suggestion, and making an effort to organize a team tournament. I'm answering the poll for Hungary:

1. Of course, we'd like to take part. :) (In fact, it has long been our dream.)

2. We're sending more than 5 players, so we could set up a team of 5.

3. Thursday morning or Sunday afternoon are both okay for us. On a sidenote: another day could be possible as well (maybe Wednesday), as we're planning to stay in Krakow for a week.

4. It would be interesting to make it a knock-out tournament, but it would require a large number of teams, so I'm guessing it isn't feasible. I'm not sure I understand the difference between Robin-rounds and Swiss system, but anything will do. :)

I think 4 rounds with 30 minutes + 30 seconds byoyomi per player sounds fine.

Best regards, and Merry Christmas to all:

Gergely
