Dear shogi fans,

Starting from 2000 (annually since 2006) Minsk shogi community holds
two-day tournament at the calendar year end. This year the tournament
is called the "Minsk Shogi Cup 2011" and it will take place on 26th
and 27th of November 2011. We expect more than 25 participants (25
Minsk players alone (http://shogi.by/?doc=players)) and we invite you
to join us.

Thinking time: 30 minutes + 30 seconds byo-yomi

Pairing: mixed knockout (with final 2-win match) and swiss, 7 rounds

Fee: 3.5 Euro

Saturday, 26th November

Registration: 14:00 - 14:45
Opening: 14:45 - 15:00
Round 1: 15:00 - 16:30
Round 2: 16:30 - 18:00
Round 3: 18:00 - 19:30
Round 4: 19:30 - 21:00

Sunday, 27th November

Round 5: 10:00 - 11:30
Round 6: 11:30 - 13:00
Lunch break: 13:00 - 14:00
Round 6: 14:00 - 15:30
Closing and prize giving: around 15:30

Prizes:

1st place: 6000 rub ~ 140 eur (+ cup)
2nd place: 4500 rub ~ 105 eur (+ cup)
3rd place: 3000 rub ~ 70 eur (+ cup)
4th place: 1500 rub ~ 35 eur
5th place: 1000 rub ~ 23 eur
6th place: 500 rub ~ 11 eur
best lady: 1000 ~ 23 eur (+ keepsake)
best under 18: 1000 ~ 23 eur (+ keepsake)
best under 14: 1000 ~ 23 eur (+ keepsake)

Visa: The foreigner can enter the Republic of Belarus in case visa of
the one is available. The web site of Belarusian Representative Office

As an exception, entry visas to Belarus can be arranged at the airport
upon landing, too. The citizens of EU as well as nationals of several
other countries (Norway, Swiss Confederation, Japan...) no visa
support documents will be required. They may apply for a tourist visa
on the basis of hotel reservation.

The tournament successfully took place. 45 players participated from
Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. The winner is Sergei Korchitsky.
