Storing file revisions is quite resource intensive and may not always be desired.
I've changed it from being an always-on feature to something that has to be enabled in site settings.
Because it's a more resource intensive feature it will become a premier only feature.

I will also change the number of sites available in free edition from 3 to 1. The reason for this is to increase revenue so that I can invest more time in development. At the moment I don't think there is enough incentive to upgrade and premier users only account for < 0.5% of total users.

My plan is for these changes to come into affect at the beginning of September. These are not changes I've taken lightly and will listen carefully to any feedback you have to offer.

wow i didnt even see the release of the revision history. just checked
it out and thats a great feature.
(though in the future a diff output would be nice)
i fully agree with your changes here, my incentive for purchasing
premium was the https but revision history is helpful too.
cutting the sites down from 3 to 1 is also a good idea

dear other programmers reading this that didnt purchase the premium:
its more than a faceless corporate entity, adam is on here every day
implementing fixes, changes and new features that you request. ive
never seen a software with such rapid changes. $5/month goes to not
just getting you EXACTLY the ide you are looking for, it makes you
part of a community of something huge.

Diff output is there - ctrl+click two files.

Well said. I'm not after sympathy, I want peeps to feel that they're getting value for money. My dream would be to work on this full time and who knows maybe even get some staff to help me.

Unfortunately I'm currently out of a job, otherwise I would definitely pay the $5 a month.  I definitely like ShiftEdit and I will use it more once the SFTP gets fixed.

As per the bug report - SFTP works you just need upload on save enabled.

Ah, sorry about that.  I must've missed that under the options.  Also, it would probably be a good idea to have that on by default, or ask when the site is created.

yeah - it is on there by default. I think this happened when the new update was going live.
