Return Key Not Working

For some odd reason the return key is not inserting a newline anymore.  Regular typing works just fine, and I can copy and paste one in, but the return key isn't working.

I've tried clearing my cache (no app cache), changing editors, making sure the return key works in other programs and webpages, etc...
