Actually, Tarrywile has 16 waymarkers, which they call location markers.

I wouldn't put that many in, at least for now. At Tarrywile Park, which is
roughly double the size of Shelton Lakes (21 miles of trails) there are 9
waymarkers. This felt about right to me as a hiker who had never been there
before. Any more, and I would have been annoyed by the clutter. 9 markers

Just a couple of thoughts after last nights meeting. so everyone understands
where I'm coming from...as I think all efforts by any volunteer is
positive.its just wise sometimes to take a step back and see where we're

Before I have 5,000 Shelton Lakes Greenway maps printed up, it occurred to
me that if Conservation & Trails wants to put a small number of waymarks in,
those could be placed on the map now. I can think of maybe 9 spots along
the trail network where a simple 4x4 post with a routered number
corresponding to the map would reassure/orient hikers without cluttering up

Like I said - there could be a state law on the subject - I just don't
know - but when they are passed I have often heard them called "Right to
Farm" laws. I am not aware of a Ct. law that delegates to the
municipality the right to set the parameters of what constitutes a
nuisance.

Interesting. So there would need to be a state law that allows for the city
ordinance? And we don't know if that exists, correct? I bet Terry J would
