Regarding our 2010 meeting schedule, in advance of mtg for you all to be looking at and marking your calendars, the dates are:

First Wednesday of the Month, 7PM, Rm 303 of City Hall.

None of these regular meeting dates are near conflicts with holidays for 2010.

The reason for agenda item: election of chairman, is the charter item quoted below:

 

(f)   At its first regular meeting following the date on which the newly elected or appointed members take office, each board, commission, and other body shall elect, by plurality vote, a chairman from its members who shall serve until the next regular election or appointment of members to the board, commission, or other body. A chairman, by virtue of his position, shall not be deprived of his vote nor given an added vote.
