We finally got a picture of a bobcat in Shelton.  I bet this is the same one that was living on a city employee's deck last winter (she's on Falmouth Drive, very close to English Drive as the crow flies).

Hi Theresa, I live on English Lane and back up to the open space (now the white trail).  Today, around 4:00 pm I saw this bobcat in our yard near our bird feeders.  I wanted you to be aware of it, if you are not already.  It did not appear to be frightened of me at all when it saw me at the window.

That’s not a wild Bobcat… that’s my kitty! I keep her right next to my chimp!

...and someone was telling me there's a bobcat at Pine Rock Park that's been shreeking.

I'm guessing most saw the CtPost article regarding Teresa's finding.  I forgot to mention at the CC mtg that my wildlife sighting map is updated with this latest info of course.

You should add Falmouth Drive off of Nells Rock - that's where
Marilynn had a bobcat sleeping on her deck last winter in the kitty
condo. Also, I've had at least 3 people tell me they saw a bobcat in
Pine Rock Park.

Already had Falmouth located, and now added Pine Rock (both blue for unconfirmed)

the bobcat shrieking is part of their mating ritual and is a very loud scary noise according to my daughter who has a den in her front yard. Drives her dogsbonkers.
