Strange emails -- for Sheila only

Below is a copy of an email I just got. I have no idea what it means or why it was sent to me.

 

I have also received numerous emails asking me to unsub them from this group. Since it is not my job I wonder why they show up in my mail? If this continues I may use the unsub link myself.

Hi Joyce! The reason you have been receiving unsubscribe requests is
that previously any member could post a message to the group
unmoderated; therefore if they posted a request to unsub rather than
emailing me, that message would go out to the entire group.

I have now changed the settings so that all posts are moderated for
approval and therefore I will be able to catch unsub requests and deal
with them separately rather than their going out to the whole list.

I apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this has caused to
you and everyone. You should no longer receive any messages other than
notifications of new patterns once the dust settles on the posts
regarding this problem.
