We use Lucas Optometry on South Grand.  We have vision insurance but he had a nice selection of discount frames.

I don't know what you are thinking for a reasonable price, but Warby Parker sells frames and lenses for 95 bucks, without insurance.

The company is attempting to undercut businesses that, according to them, overcharge for lenses and frames.

As well, when you purchase a pair, they donate a pair to someone in need.

It's not a local company, and the glasses styles are definitely hipster-ish.

We've always had luck with America's on Gravois by Shop N Save.  Best prices we've found if you need a new script and don't have insurance.  We waive the insurance option on our employer .plan because America's turns out to be cheaper than paying a premium.

I'll also recommend Lucas Optometry. Dr. Lucas is incredibly through and his staff is great. Our entire family goes there.

I have gotten a couple pairs of glasses from Zenni Optical online.

Of course they are not top-notch durable frames;
however, my $35 pair (lenses and frames) lasted me for 2 years and I will get another from Zenni as a backup.
