Best Practice for Exception Handling, Transaction Mangement and Role Based Security using S#arp

I am new to S#arp.. have just started on a fresh project with S#arp
architecture.. would appreciate if somebody can let me know(May be
article links) the best practices for followings.
Exception Handlind and error management
Transaction Handling
Login using custom tables + role based security.

As for transaction handling, I use the transaction attribute. Others
tend to want more granular control within application services.
