Auto Approval transition

Ok I have an approval node and after a period of time, if the user
does not approve or reject the task, then I want it to automatically
progress into an escalation loop. I set the default approval period
and have 3 transitions out of the approval node.
Rejected,Approved and I found one called AutoApproved
What happens when the default approval period expires is the process
gets marked approved and it progresses down the Approved transition.
How do I trap the AutoApproval and get it to go down a different
transition?
