Who We AreIncorporated in 1966, Anderson Animal Shelter has provided temporary housing for approximately 3,400 dogs, cats, birds, gerbils, hamsters, ferrets, rabbits and other homeless or abandoned pets. We are committed to a low-kill philosophy (100% adoption of adoptable animals) and so do not place time limits on any of the animals in our care. In 2001, an on-site veterinary clinic was added to provide health care for Shelter animals and to assist in the goal of spaying/neutering all adopted dogs & cats before they leave the Shelter.WishlistHere's a list of our most needed items if you would like to drop something off during shelter business hours.
