All Scouts,
January's pack meeting is this *Sunday* the 24th at "The Centre of
Elgin".<http://www.cityofelgin.org/index.aspx?NID=178>We will start at
5:00pm with our opening ceremony (lead by Den 4) and
advancements, the swimming will be from 5:30 till 7:30. Scouts shall wear
their Class A shirt without the neckerchief or a Class B t-shirt. The Pack
will have Class B t-shirts for sale at the event for $8. The Pack has rented
the whole swim area so siblings and parents may join in at no charge.
Amenities
A recreation pool features a zero-depth entry, geysers, and whirling water,
as well as a shipwrecked boat for sliding fun, tipping toucans for water
showers, and a 25-foot water slide with a separate plunge pool.
Serious fitness swimmers will make a splash in our eight-lane, 25-yard
competition pool, ranging in depth from five feet to 12 feet. Take a plunge
off our two one-meter diving boards or a three-meter board.

The Centre of Elgin is located in downtown Elgin at 100 Symphony Way, Take
Illinois Route 31 south to Kimball Street, turn east or left. Continue to N.
Grove Ave, turn right or south. Follow the road to Symphony Way, turn left
or east. Center is on your left and parking garage on your right. See

Donation
Our donation this month is for the *FISH Food Pantry*.
FISH (Friend I Shall Help) Food Pantry started helping people in the Dundee
Township area 40 years ago. It’s part of the Northern Illinois Food Bank and
is staffed only with volunteers. Our *Cobra* and *Dragon Patrols* delivered
our October
donation to FISH and found out that *Peanut Butter* and *Jelly* are the
items most in need.
FOOD
Any type of non-perishable canned or boxed food, e.g. Noodles, Rice, Mashed
Potatoes, Soup, Cereal, Granola Bars, Pop Tarts, Vegetables, Fruit,
Spaghetti Sauce, Tuna, Crackers, Cookies, Coffee, Tea Bags, Creamer,
Kool-Aid Packets, *Jam or Jelly, Peanut Butter*, Honey, Powdered Milk,
Flour,
Sugar, Pancake Mix, Syrup, Cake Mix and Frosting
HYGIENE AND HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS
Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shampoo, Conditioner, Lip Balm, Shaving Cream,
Disposable Razors, Deodorant, Facial Tissue, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper,
Napkins, Plastic Garbage Bags, Dish Soap, Bleach, Laundry Detergent
(Powdered or Liquid), Cleaning Products.
