Yep, unfortunately this is being going on for a while now. Last year
during the SFR Russian River 200k, Veronica T and later JimG both got
flats form carpenter tacks in that area. Last Saturday I made a point
to my wife not to ride to far inside the nice wide shoulder near
Nicasio.
On a related note, some Nicasio residents are not very fond of cyclist
riding by and chatting early in the morning (or night), apparently
they can clearly hear the conversations inside their homes. There are
signs posted at the store and on the road asking to be respectful in
that regard.
