Alternator for 80 series

has anyone upgraded their alternator from stock? i'm getting some
pulsing in my battery gauge, so i'm researching upgrades. I've heard
about re-wrapping stock units to get more power out of them. Mean
green's, and something about a Tundra 150 amp but that requires a
custom bracket that doesnt seem to be available.

I'm also interested on an upgrade, I got a hold of photoman on the mud
board and was able to score a bracket from him.

Have you tried to contact him? He told me that he had a few brackets
left.

no i hadn't tried yet, i was under the impression he didn't have
anymore, i'll try and send him a message today. So are you going with
the the Tundra 150 amp?

I'm almost certain I will. I'm in the processes of getting other items before I shell out for that alternator.

I'm also working on a dual battery setup so this will have to wait for now.

i'm planning on the National Luna setup for dual battery's. i am
slowly picking up everything as well. Which battery's are you going
with?

I know they carry Optimas at Costco but not sure if they carry it in
that size. I would also consider the new Sears AGM battery.
