ZoneAlarm kertoili että on uusi päivitys tullut ja latasin sen alas
osoitteesta
http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/updates/znalm/za50590015AEN1023.html

Nyt kun yritän asentaa tuolta tulleen zlsSetup_50_590_015.exe niin kone
alkaa herjaamaan seuraavaa:

ZoneAlarm has detected that you have F-Secure Anti-Virus installed. There
are compatibility issues between ZoneAlarm and this product.
If you want to install ZoneAlarm, please uninstall F-Secure Anti-Virus and
restart the ZoneAlarm installer.
This install cannot continue and will exit.

En kyllä ajatellut uninstalloida tuota f-securea. Onkos tässä joku miina nyt
viritettynä vai mistä mahtaa olla kyse....?

Here's how you can update ZoneAlarm without having to
uninstall/reinstall F-Secure antivirus. At least it worked with
ZoneAlarm zlsSetup_65_722_000_en.exe that I downloaded recently. Note
that this is for the plain F-Secure Antivirus -- I don't have the F-
secure Internet Security suite, hence the need for the ZoneAlarm
Firewall...

1. Download the ZoneAlarm update that you want to install and when it's
done downloading, disconnect your computer from the network.

2. Right-click the F-secure Antivirus icon in the system tray (on the
bottom right corner of your screen) and select "Unload" (Note that
Windows XP security may pop up a red icon and warn you that you are not
protected or something to that effect).

3. Open Task Manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc) and select the "Processes" tab.
Click on the "Image Name" column title to sort the processes in
alphabetical order. Select each process that starts with "fs" or "FS"
and press the "End Process" button for each one until all of the F-
secure processes are gone. This will unload the currently running F-
secure components. There are something like 4 or 5 processes that you
will need to stop and note that ending some of the processes will
automatically stop more than one "FS" process.

4. In explorer, go to the \Program Files\ folder and rename the "F-
Secure Internet Security" folder to something like "F-Secure Internet
Security temp". Even though I just have F-Secure antivirus, the folder
is named F-Secure Internet Security which may be the root cause of the
ZoneAlarm install problem.

5. Run the ZoneAlarm update that you downloaded in step 1. When it is
finished and you are prompted to reboot, go back to explorer and rename
the F-secure folder back to "F-Secure Internet Security" before you
reboot.

6. Reboot and reconnect your computer to the network, when you come back
up you have the new ZoneAlarm running with F-Secure antivirus.
