Microsoft just opened up a truly enormous database, an enormous atlas,
the largest online
database anywhere. You may not get in, because it is very busy right
now, but

FS:
   This is an awesome site!  I found myself 'spying' on street
corners that I could match up with street maps.  The most recent
photos taken were before my current home was built.  I did find the
supermarket where we shop.     I wonder if this is the only web site
that has aerial photos.  I had heard that the French had make
available (for a fee) photos from one of their own satelites.
