English BFA Transfer Student Looking to Rent

Hi,

My name is Nelly, and I am a 20 year old transfer student from London. I have been living on my own for the past two years, so do not want to live in student accommodation where I will have to sign in and stuff like that. I am looking for a place to live with people in shared housing (an apartment or a house) I am good with a lot of people or just a few, I'm easygoing and I will be majoring in photography I think, but I also have a huge interest in sculpture and assemblage. I am a smoker, good at tidying up and cooking, and am a sociable person. 

I would like to move in in August, and would appreciate any help anyone can give, as it is impossible to fly over to America sooner and look for housing.
