Tethering dont connect - it needs WiFi to reset to connect - How do I do that?

I have a button to turn on Tethering but frequently when connect my laptop the connection fails. 

The resolution is to turn on and off WiFi and then start Tethering again.

In another app (Tasker) I sequenced this to happen automatically before connecting Tethering and I had less issues then.

Any ideas how to sequence this or is there another way to setup Tethering so that this doesn't happen?
