University of California researchers model the possibility, with
follow-up observations being conducted by San Francisco State
University with an "...NSF funded program on the 1.5-meter telescope
at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory to monitor Alpha
Centauri A and B, Tau Ceti, GJ780 and Beta Hydri through November
2009. The team says that a dedicated five year campaign should be able
to discern the presence of even an Earth sized rocky planet."
