Subject: Thanksgiving hosts for internationals
Hello Friends at Exodus,
Will you be staying in Bloomington for the Thanksgiving holiday? Do you
have space available around your Thanksgiving table? Bloomington
International Student Ministries (BISM) asks you to consider making your
holiday extra special.
PE07663_Invite International Students to your
Thanksgiving Dinner!
You can have a cross-cultural ministry right in your own home!
Your family can spread the love of Jesus Christ around the world by opening
your home to international students, scholars, and families for
Thanksgiving. Many have nowhere to go for this special day and would enjoy
celebrating the holiday with your family.
Currently, we have 25 internationals who have requested to share
Thanksgiving dinner with an American family. They come from Taiwan, India,
China, Malaysia, S. Korea, and Nigeria.
It’s Easy!
Ø Invite one or more international students to your home for Thanksgiving
dinner. You can request the number and gender of students that you prefer.
We will provide you with the name(s) and contact information of interested
international(s) based on your request. You then arrange to include them in
your Thanksgiving activities and, if needed, provide transportation from
their apartments.
Ø After the holiday, you can continue your international friendships. Get
together when possible, keep connected by email or phone, be there to help,
and pray for them often.
It Could Change a Life!
---
For more information or to sign up to host, please contact me at the email
or phone below. Please let me know how many internationals you would like
to invite, any preference of gender or nationality, and whether you could
give your guests a ride to your home. (Most students will need a ride.)
Thanks for considering this special outreach opportunity.
