Subject: 2 Cor. 4:4--Translation conundrum
Dear Group,

I was reading 2 Cor. 4:4 aloud in a small group yesterday, and I
wasn't happy with how smoothy it read. It now reads (breaking up into
separate lines for ease of analysis):

The god of this world is among them,
and has made faithless people's ways of thinking blind.
That way, they never clearly see* the bright light of the good news of
the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God.

*Lit. "...blind, so that they won't clearly see."

Here is the Greek (using b-Greek transliteration convention):

EN hOIS hO QEOS TOU AIWNOS TOUTOU
ETUFLWSEN TA NOHMATA TWN APISTWN
EIS TO MH AUGASAI TON FWTISMON TOU EUANGELIOU THS DOXHS TOU CRISTOU,
hOS ESTIN EIKWN TOU QEOU.

Here is the challenge: can you render this as closely as I have but in
a way that flows better and/or leads to more optimal comprehension on
a first reading?
