Chers Ali and Cheikh,

Some members have been talking lately about a SSG meeting at ASA and have
suggested that Saturday, Nov. 21, 5 pm, might be a good time for that. Would
that work fine for you and the other folks?

Dear Ibra,

If I am not mistaken, the ceremony to honor David Robinson, winner of
this year's ASA Distinguished Africanist Award, takes place Saturday
night.  I am also planning on attending the reception that his former
students are organizing before the ceremony. All of this will make
Saturday evening quite crowded for me.
