Is there a way to configure the cursor in TSE 2.5 for DOS so that it
will be limited to moving around only within the area in which I've
already entered text?

You could create some code that runs on a hook which monitors cursor or
mouse movement and then re-positions into the area if it strays.

Sounds like a task that would be beyond my capabilities.

So, as far as you know, there's no built-in option to make cursor
movement in TSE behave the way it does in a program like MS Notepad
for example?

You're talking about having it not go beyond the end of each line, and
then to wrap to the start of the next line when it gets too far?

I don't know if there's a built-in option for that or not. Would make a
nice built-in addition if not. I've had a need for that type of cursor
wrapping from time to time.

Hi Rick,

It looks like Larry (whom I've dubbed "The Mozart of Macros") has
created a simple macro that does just what we're looking for.

But somehow the continuation of this thread has slipped over onto
another thread I had started about the same time as this one:

"Are You Sure?" message to confirm Exit in TSE 2.5 for DOS?
http://groups.google.com/group/semware/browse_thread/thread/8de850a3ad1030b2#

I've tried his first short macro, and it works great!

I just now finished reading his latest post with the longer macro, so
I haven't had time to try it out yet.

I'm severely limited in the amount of time I can spend working at the
computer, and have just about used up my pain tolerance and available
energy allotment for this morning, so I probably won't be able to take
his latest rig for a spin until tomorrow. Maybe you'd like to give it
a try and report back here. That would be a great help to me.
