Is there a way to check if a given file is already in a buffer?
I have a macro that calls an external procedure to create a new
version of a file. The macro then edits the new file and
reformats it a bit. If the old version of the file is already
open when the macro is executed, it fails to use the newly created
version of the file. I'd like to have the macro check if the file is
open and if so close it before creating the new version.
One approach would be to edit the old file, create the new version
and then use ReplaceFile("<filename>", _OVERWRITE_ )
But that would mean usually loading this large file needlessly
(it wont usually be open).
Is there a way to check if a given file is already in a buffer?
