I struggle to understand the significance of Wikipedia. Consider this:
all it takes to remove a perfectly decent article is a misinformed
demand of a "Resident Anthropologist" who "cant read the damn thing" and
can't even spell ("masqauading"?). Do we care about a portal which is so
easy to manipulate? We have a stable Web presence, a good site at
semeval2.fbk.eu and a lot of relevant Google hits on the first page.

I think there is a good case for a SemEval page on Wikipedia. I expect wiser voices will drown out Resident Anthropologist.

On the other hand, the current Wikipedia SemEval page needs a lot of work. I think it should be cut down to less than a quarter of its current size. Can't see the forest for the trees.

It appears that the current discussions seems to be changing the tide towards keeping the article.

Would this be a correct assessment?

It appears that the majority of comments refers to improving the article either in terms of formatting or content.
