New to Semantic web

Hi everyone

I am Ravi, doing my Master's in computer Science
(final year). I want to do my final year project in semantic web. As i
am new to this group, i want to know

1) The basics of semantic web.
2) What are the programming languages, i should be familiar with?
3) The scope of this area.
4) How can i flourish in market?

I am expecting for your reply so that i can explore
more on this area and be focused on project as i really want to be an
work hard to do something new.

1) There are a lot of useful links here for learning about the
semantic web.

2) You can use pretty much any programming language to work with the
semantic web. Useful libraries exist in Java, Python, Ruby (and no
doubt many others)
