Hi all,

I have a suite of Selenium tests running under fine under Selenium
Remote Control (RC) 1.01. However, today when I moved up to RC version
1.03 all my tests fail, complaining that they cannot launch the
browser.

When I look at the version.txt file associated with the 1.03
server.jar I see the following:

selenium.rc.version=2.0
selenium.rc.revision=a2
selenium.core.version=2.0
selenium.core.revision=a2

Would we not have expected to see something like
selenium.rc.version=1.03 here?

I've noticed that the size of the server.jar has tripled in size from
5,465KB to 15,796KB! So it seems that some major changes have occurred
in this minor version update?

Does anyone have any feedback on this or could explain what changes
have occurred?

Thanks in advance,
Ian

There is a Selenium 2.0 in the works. It is hosted on a Google web
site and I believe works with WebDriver. I looked at the zip file for
1.0.3 and it contains WebDriver information. I'd hazard a guess that
someone built the Selenium 2.0 and uploaded it to the 1.0.3 location.

I have seen this problem as well. From what I can tell, the latest RC
1.03 does not work w/ IE 8, but works correctly w/ FireFox 3.6. See
the stack trace below when launching thru IE 8. This works correctly
when using the 1.01 RC .jar. I will enter a bug on this.

Well at least it's good to hear others are seeing the same issue.
Hopefully the correct 1.03 build will be uploaded soon...

I've got exactly this problem as well with IE6, IE7, and IE8.

I also find the tripling in size of the server.jar file rather
strange.

What happened? If the downloadable version of selenium rc 1.0.3 is a
wrong one why isnt it pulled?

Is there a download somewhere of the 1.0.1 version of the server
package that worked? I cannot find it anywhere, either on googlecode
or on seleniumhq.

Has anyone found an answer to this issue? Does anyone from Selenium
actually check this group? Are the any ways around this problem?
