Hi,

I know it's unusual to do things this way, but I'd like to propose
Francois Reynaud as a committer. Initially, this would be so that he
can check the new Grid implementation into a branch so that anyone
who's interested in voting for inclusion of that into trunk can do so
in an informed way. Given the quality of the code I've seen so far,
and the commitment he's already shown to the project, I'm sure that
he'll fit right in.

We've done this plenty of times, but +1, -1 or ~1 please!

+1 from me :)

Finally someone I can vote on who's code I've already reviewed!

OK. So it looks unanimous. I'll ping Francois and ask him which
account I should add.

Hello,

thanks for the +1 votes.I've been using selenium everyday for about 2
years , and I'm really happy to be able to contribute to the tool !

I've committed the code on the grid2 branch :
http://selenium.googlecode.com/svn/branches/grid2/
please have a look at it and give me your comments / bugs etc. Some
features from grid1 are missing ( self healing ) but other than that,
it should work :)

An overview of the code + build can be found here :
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FipwakAFwXQ_X-Re1uCUU3Jnizq4L80kR_OFKD30j0M/edit?hl=en

This grid code is a starting point really. I designed it with
virtualization in mind and it can be easily extented to increase
reliability of the tests / reduce the maintenance by manipulating the
OS where the nodes are running.
At eBay I use it on a VMWare infrastructure but anything that allow
you to manipulate the OS should do.

thanks,
françois
