Description: Developer discussion dealing with the Seesmic API

Moving the list - sorry for the inconvenience!
Seems that Johann *did* have Seesmic-API created and waiting - I just didn't know about it. So, since that's the official list (and the name matches the Seesmic- [api, dev, testing, user] pattern I'm going to move the "official" list to there. I'll be sending an invite to each of the emails you have subscribed... more »

Time Drain { The Seesmic .NET app
I have created a .NET seesmic project using ASP.NET Ajax. It's not entirely finished, but gives me something to build on. This project has been developed with the intention of creating a .NET class and library allowing other .NET developers to easily build on the Seesmic API and platform. When I've finished off a couple of things, I'll be putting the full... more »

API, uploading, authetication, MP4 to FLV....
How's it going everyone... First off... where can I find some API documentation to read? (sorry n00b question). Second... the project I'm (slowly) working on, is a Windows Mobile app, that will let me post using my camera phone to seesmic... and ultimately view the timelines as well. So the first obstacle I have is, how do I get the MP4 to FLV?... more »

FLV upload API?
Has anyone got this to work yet? Using the multipart fields provided by bear? If I could see a verbose output of the headers sent and received I might be able to debug. I keep getting a 'file_empty' reply, even though I can see it's getting the file and can see the size, etc. Cheers, Kosso

Two user oriented "timeline" calls are happening soon - sneak peak
Here are two calls that have appeared but not yet are in the main client so the usual "parameters and usage may change at anytime" warning are in effect. getUserReplies Returns a list of all replies to any of the user's posts [link] * String sid * String username... more »

Identification of applications...
Just for reference and logging.. I pass in application = "SeesmicAIR / Critter" for every call I make to seesmic.. for those of you that are developing against the api.. I would suggest something similar just in case there ever is some problem.. it might be more easily identified... if it is one of us 3rd parties...... more »

flv upload
ok, need some sanity checking on my api "docs" - it's in quotes because right now it's just a bunch of notes :) here is what I know of the flv upload and I wanted to share it with you guys to get feedback on two things: 1) is the info accurate and 2) is the format I'm using understandable flv upload... more »

Suggestion for the RSS and ATOM feeds
Hi, It might be an idea to chnage the title of the feeds. Currently, they are just 'Public Timeline'. Not too meaningful in feed aggregators. How about 'Seesmic: Public Timeline" Looking forward to user feeds too ;) And especially the forthcoming post FLV via te API method ;) Cheers, kosso

New jabber bot option about to land
Heads up if you are a consumer of the events jabber bot. I've added the ability for the bot to delivery the payload in either Atom or RSS format. To see what commands the bot allows, add "eve...@jabber.seesmic.com" to your roster and then send it the command "help". --- Bear [link] PGP Fingerprint = 9996 719F 973D B11B E111 D770 9331 E822 40B3 CD29... more »

egowhore.com - seesmic mashup.
You have probably seen it by now [link] - a little rss mashing up for seesmic that uses the public rss feed. Lots of ideas and features planned - hoping to work with the api to do some other snazzy stuff. Props to kosso, bear, critter and the other developers i do not know yet.... more »
