We will include the possibility for our members to post video comments

We have our own blog techno on [link].

We will manage the video IDs ourself and associate every video to the
discussion where the member joined.

You have to give me a bit more information on what you are doing?
what types of videos are you attempting to display? yours.. someone elses?
what is the criteria?
what backend languages are you working with?

Yes, it should be dynamic, if you have a sample how to get the
thumbnail ID I would glad,

All that information is available if you make a call through the API.
If you are just trying to embed a player for just one video.. you can use
the embed codes listed below the player at the website..
or are you trying to do this dynamically?

Hi bear and shunjie,

I appreciate that you come back to me, from the sample given in wiki I
tried to create a player, in this sample the url for the thumbnail is
hardcoded, I am wondering where and how to get the thumbnail id, if
you have any idea that would really be helpful :-)))

Right now there isn't any change to how the API is configured.

The data returned by the calls may change as we add to our back-end
server more items to allow users to control access to their data.

Hi - like shinchi has asked, it would be very helpful to know how your
accessing the data.

One thing that almost everyone stumbles over is that the video_id you
make the request for is *not* the same id used for filenames.

I took a look at the file system for the flv file for that thumbnail

Hi!

The biggest reason we haven't done user-based feeds yet is that we
have no way to opt-out (opt-in) to the generation of the feed.

Once the CC settles and a couple other ACL based items, then we will
be able to generate feeds that only contain items that people are
clear to have in public.

Hi Regis, will be great if you can tell us what is the api u are
calling and the video id. :) The url looks fine to me but yes, it is
rising 404

In the feeds, I would like to be able to extract all my replies if they were
a item.ReplyTo. I've been looking thru pipes.yahoo.com (with the atom feed)
but i can't see any.

Hey seesmicers,

i am guessing that with the CC feature on seesmic, things are going to
change in the way we retrieve the data from the API.
So a simple (but not easy) question : what's new ?

Just to give everyone a heads up - we've been slowly rolling out small
changes to how some of the calls return results.

Basically instead of an empty JSON or XML list for a video list or
user info, you should now be getting an HTTP error code 404.
