7-character limit

The 7-character limit on component names is way too restrictive. I am wondering if this can be relaxed without causing backward compatibility issues. The original idea behind the limitation (Sedona devices with extremely limited memory) no longer seems to be relevant. Even if it is, maybe this can be implemented as a device dependent limitation, each device establishing its own limit depending on available memory (I don't particularly like that approach as it would cause complications when copy/pasting logic across products).

Thanks Murat for posting this after our discussion at the Niagara Summit.  We will discuss this once the rest of the team gets back and evaluate what can be done.
