After reading 1 of the blogs from Niagara Central I started out to
make my own custom Sedona kit. I followed the blog and everything
worked fine, after a bit of messing around, except for I cant load any
kits into my Virtual Machine Sedona device and if I load my new kit
into an actual Sedona device it crashes it.

I have a copy of the error I get when I try and load a new kit; it is
basically a provisioning error.

As this is my first attempt at both running a Sedona VM and creating a
custom kit I would appreciate any assistance or tips I can get.

I have also just started an online tutorial on Java for beginners as
well; as I can see this will become very helpful if I want to
customise some programming etc.

Thanks
Dazza

Hi Dazza, welcome to the SedonaDev forum!

Have you checked out the Sedona docs?  http://sedonadev.org/doc/index.html
There's a lot of information there on writing your own Sedona kits.

As for your specific problem, if you can post the error you are getting we can try to
help you.  (If it turns out to be a provisioning issue, then we should probably move this
discussion to the Sedona forums on Niagara Central.)

Hi emck, I have had a look at the docs area but thought I would start
with the simple tutorial in the blogs section of Niagara Central.

Below is the error log from my VM:

OK all fixed.

I only had standalone sedona workbench 1.0.45, so I did a fresh
install of 1.0.47, I then downloaded the latest build 1.0.48.

After sorting out all my kit and manifest versions I then followed the
tutorial again and it all works great now.

Now onto building my own kit :)

Thanks

Glad to hear it was an easy fix! Hope the rest of your Sedona development
goes just as smoothly.
