Hey Makers, Red Bull's Flugtag event is coming to Chicago this summer and I can't think of an event that is more geared for Makerspaces. Registration for airborne crafts (June 9th) is rapidly approaching. We don't have to have our vessel ready, just a team assembled. Great time to get our name out there too!

For those of you who don't know what Flugtag is, I don't really either... I just know you make an "air" craft and drive it off a ramp into water. Furthest distance wins. It's kind of a land gracefully contest more than flight. Oh and there are style points, so if we wanted to make something like a real flying Nyan Cat (http://nyan.cat/), we can do that.

Here are some other successful, and not so successful attempts - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUijrxiP1Lk&feature=fvwrel

I, for one, couldn't be more excited at the opportunity to participate and be aligned with a crew that could make something epic! Anyone interested in making Milwaukee Makerspace flight history?

I would love to help out on this.  Milwaukee is a bit far though, any hope for a Sector Team?
