We'll be attempting to observe the transit of Venus with a sun filtered telescope as well as welding helmets prior to the meeting tomorrow, with setup around 5PM.

Monthly Meeting Tomorrow! Tuesday - 06/05 - 7pm
We'll be hosting our monthly (open to anyone) meeting at Sector67. Presentations currently on the docket:
General Announcements:
Help! Maker Faire Trips Need Your Funding
It's that time of the year again, we'll be headed down to Kansas City, over to Detroit, and finally to Chicago's Maker Faires this year to show off cool projects and race the Power Wheels vehicle. If you saw the vehicle last year, you know it's typically plastered with sponsor and supporter stickers. We'd love you or your company's support this year to help us pay for gas and expenses getting there and back, contact us for opportunities to fund the team!
Classes Posted
Classes are posted for this week, if you're interested in a particular class let us know, otherwise they're posted at random :-). Sector67 member Larry Walker will be hosting summer classes learning Live Code, more information on the classes page. Class is coming up quick in July!
Arduino Night - June 12th 7PM:
Bring your own C/C++ and/or Arduino issues and cool projects you're working on. We'll have a few hours of work around microcontrollers and general electronics projects.
Mail Art Guild Open Meeting - June 19th 5PM
Mail Art Guild of the Madison Area is a way to make and share art and support the postal service at the same time MAGMA67. Typical agenda includes 15 minutes to deal with any business followed by making art together and then a show and tell at the end. Meetings typically last 2 hours.
Kansas City Maker Faire - June 23rd-24th
We'll be headed down the Kansas City to hang out at Hammerspace/CCCKC and defend our World Championship Power Racing Series trophy at this years mini-Maker Faire.
Visit from Makerbot Likely - June 26th
Makerbot Industries will be touring all of the midwest hackerspaces throughout June, they're planning on stopping at Sector67 on June 26th. If you're interested, they'll have several new Replicators available for printing objects and generally experimenting with, they're hoping to meet with 3D printer operators in the area. Beer and pizza will be involved.
