As many of you may have heard, the Planning Commission has held open the public hearing for the Transportation System Plan hoping to gather more public input. The meeting is tomorrow evening (Monday 8/23 7:00 p.m. at the Omni Room at the High School.) If you can send an email and attend it would be great. If you can only send an email it would be very important to show your support.

It is critical that each of you take a moment to send an email of support for TSP to the Planning Commission because if the TSP does not pass the old TSP will remain in place, which has 13th Ave as the Industrial Park's truck route. The proposed TSP needs to be approved because it will prevent 13th Ave from become a truck route for the Industrial Park.

There are strong detractors to the TSP over concern for the one-way loop through downtown. You do not need to mention this topic at all. Just ask that the Planning Commission recommend approval of the TSP because you think it is critically important that the industrial park's truck traffic use 99E and stay off of 13th Ave as stated in Goal 1 Policy D of the proposed TSP.
