Hey did you read about that 520 protest...those guys blocked the 520
bridge during *rush hour*

WOW -- normally 520 is a free flowing high speed accessway during rush
hour so that was a really amazing protest. I bet people had never
been stuck on 520 during rush hour...that was such an effective thing
to do !

Yeah! It makes you see how easy it would be for Al Qaida to do it, and
then blow everybody up. And here we are sending all our defenses
overseas and spending several tens of billions of dollars we don't have
to do it, and spending *more* tens of billions of dollars we don't have
to buy official support from countries whose populations almost
unanimously are opposed to what we are doing, and we're doing *all* this
to dethrown a guy who has never threatened to blow up the 520 bridge,
even though Al Qaida has threatened to do that stuff. Ting-a-ling!

What insight, Martin! We could hire all the unemployed and station
them every 1/8 mile along the freeways to watch for bad guys! We'd
have to have them join the public employees union and give them great
benefits and lot's of family leave time and sick leave and a great
retirement plan, but it would be worth it!

Or we can show those that support and harbor and condone and encourage
terrorists that they won't be tolerated and we will hunt them down and
destroy them. Much more effective and probably cheaper in the long
run. Can you imagine training, equipping and paying the salary of a
couple of million people year after year after year? Meanwhile the
terrorists would pick other targets and we'd have to hire, train,
equip and pay people to protect whatever they decided they wanted to
threaten. Talk about a police state!

Yup, great idea, Martin. Write McDermott right away with your idea,
ok?

But then again,

Who Cares?

What idea? I didn't present any idea. You presented the idea, and then
you declared the idea you presented to be stupid. That's a straw man.

There is no point in replying to your posts, because you don't care

No, but Saddam supports international terrorism and we are taking those
problems on directly rather than waiting for 911^2.

"... Poetry is dying first. It'll be absorbed into prose sooner or

later. For instance, the beautiful word, the colored and glittering

word, and the beautiful simile belong in prose now. To get

attentionpoetry has got to strain for the unusual word, the harsh,

earthy word that's never been beautiful before. Beauty, as the sum of

several beautiful parts, reached its apotheosis in Swinburne. It can't

go any further--except in the novel, perhaps."

Dick interrupted him impatiently:

"You know these new novels make me tired. My God! Everywhere I go some

silly girl asks me if I've read 'This Side of Paradise'. Are our girls

really like that? If it's true to life, which I don't believe, the next

generation is going to the dogs. I'm sick of all this shoddy realism. I

think there's a place for the romanticist in literature."

Thats a great idea! Most of the unemployed are U.S. citizens, leaving
a concentrated population of infiltrated sleeper terrorists holding
down tech jobs. See that Chinese, Arab, or EuroTrash rolling
by in his Volvo or Porsche? That bitch has the job you should have!
Remember that next time he cuts you off in traffic!

Uh, can you say 'prejudiced', I think you can. Anyway, Washington
state has one of the lowest adult literacy rates in the nation. (
Something like 10% functionally illiterate..) I doubt if you crackers
could hold a System Engineering position even if they gave it to you,
thats why Mohammed gets the Lexus, DUMBASS.

Yes, prejudiced you are. Washington State had a very generous and
easy going atmosphere until about 1987. That's when the clawing
horde of Indians, Asians, Canadians, and Easterners came pouring
in and started strutting contemptuously about and spitting on the
locals. We are tired of you filthy arrogant bigoted vicious bullying
little goons. We want our old life back. Get out of our state
while you still can. The push back is coming, and it won't miss
a single one of you maggots.

What does 'functionally illiterate' mean? Have you a breakdown based on
'race'?

So there is some Arab proclivity towards being more intelligent than
those folks with a more European ancestry? Can you give us a cite? Or do
you want to admit to your own racism?

A person who may be able to say, read an exit sign, or the labels on
the buttons of his factory lathe, but unable to read a simple standard
text is functionally illiterate. Far from being the highly educated,
intelligent workforce often portrayed by the media, Puget Sound also
has an underclass ( large ! ) of people who can barely keep up in the
current economic climate. For instance, you may point to Microsoft
-- however, the distribution of the plum jobs are probably going to a
'global class' rather than to the 'local class' which actually is
forced to endure its strick cost cutting measures and take less. The
recent economic downturn has suddenly exposed what was kept hidden (
by the in-flow of capital during the profigate high tech boom of the
nineties ) and now that the party is over, the real work of building
an equitable, educated workforce in Washington is left to those who
know what's what.

I want to give some balance. First of all, the concept of 'race' has
been disproven time and time again. Those who hold on to the concept
are a laughing stock. Intellectual rigor in the field of cultural
anthropology has long rejected it. Of course, the newsgroup
intelligensia holds it as gospel -- giving some indication of its
intellectual status.

The tens thousands of US nationals who were abruptly displaced from their
jobs have a real reason to feel betrayed. There is no other word to
describe this wholesale displacement of hard working Americans by
foreign workers. The only option for us to do is to reform our own
corporations, and compete directly with the filth who back stabbed us.
Or we could just march on their homes in the thousands and drag
them into the streets and butcher them. Whatever works.
BTW, we could also vote out the filth who colluded with the CEO's to
do this to us.

Republicans are the only party now. Look at those old washed up
presidential 'candidates' ( farts ) in the Dems: getting their
prostate glands removed and their arteries bypassed. They've fallen
and they can't get up! Pass the grecian formula grandma, I gots to go
a campaignin'.
