My son, Kelly, is entering the University of Oregon this fall. We have
sites from his team for the past 5-6 years. It sure is fun to look
back at the articles and galleries now. We have put his face on the
SeasonPlanner Home Page a few times over the years.

SeasonPlanner - 2007 creates a 5 digit number the first time you
update and that number becomes the prefix for your site URL. So
visitors can access the site with:
[link]
where nnnnn represents your five digit number. Your can also create a
custom prefix in addition to the five digit number.

I have always told my teams winning is important, it is one of the
goals, but it is not everything. It is the reward for the effort. But,
I always stressed making the training and game day effort to win is
more important.

This is our first season and the first time I have used Season Planner
so it is not "last year's information". Our site still defaults to

As a SeasonPlanner user for a fourth year now, I'd like to share my
impressions of the program as they relate to this thread.
I appreciate each of the points Mauro has made and have suggested
adding statistical capacities myself in years past. I think Ken has it
just right, though, and has explained himself well in his earlier post.

1. URL Prefix - In publish site there is a URL Prefix field where you
can enter a single word like (myteam, tigers, etc). After you publish
your site your users can access the site with

A season is considered over if the date of the last event is earlier than
today.
My best guess is this is last season's site and you are getting started
again.
I would start a new season and leave last years as it is.
Then you build a historical record of each season.
Some of our users have three or four years of seasons. It is great fun

When signing on to our site the calendar always defaults to July rather
then the current month? Have I done something to cause this?

After you register you have a different user name and so the next time
you try to publish your site with the same URL prefix the server says
nope it isn't you, sorry.
To get around this problem you should blank out the URL prefix and
publish one last time before entering in your new user name and

I still use it as marketing.
We have a great family of users and they create great sites for their kids.

It sounds like you have received some good suggestions on future
enhancements for your software. I really like what we have been able
to put together using it so far. Do you have any intention of doing
future upgrades? I noticed the activity in the Forum seems to have
slowed recently.
