Subject: Calendar
When signing on to our site the calendar always defaults to July rather
then the current month?  Have I done something to cause this?

A season is considered over if the date of the last event is earlier than
today.

My best guess is this is last season's site and you are getting started
again.

I would start a new season and leave last years as it is.

Then you build a historical record of each season.

Some of our users have three or four years of seasons. It is great fun
looking at the old seasons and remember players that have come and go.

Also, as the kids age, the younger pictures are really fun to look at.

That is why we only charge $14.95 for additional season licenses, it is
important to us that our users can build a history of seasons.

I have them from my son's 7th grade year, he is a junior now. I wish I had
this thing when my oldest boy was a 5 year old. I really would enjoy going
back to those sites.

This is our first season and the first time I have used Season Planner
so it is not "last year's information".  Our site still defaults to
July.  I would also like to ask it appears other sites have game result
articles on their home page.  To see game result articles on our site
you have to go to the calendar or the schedule?  Also I removed the
preview articles for our games because I had put basic information for
parents to know like directions and even after the event is over it
showed the preview article.  I would really like to understand this in
and out so I can give our kids the best website possible.

Thanks,

Guess Number 2 (A Smarter Guess)

You wrote a Season Summary Article rather than a Season Preview
Aritcle. Our web site builder thinks the season is over and looks for
the last event that happened to seed the calendar and that event is in
July 2006. Copy the Season Summary Aricle to the Season Preview and
remove it from the Season Summary, Update the Web Site, and see if this
fixes the problem.
