We are seeking an extremely talented software developer to join our team
as we continue the development of our successfully deployed financial
trading system. This is an unusual opportunity to become a key
contributor to an exciting project on the cutting edge of both the
high-tech and finance industries. The successful applicant will join our
team of highly qualified programmers and scientists as we extend the
functionality and performance of our sophisticated trading system that
manages significant amounts of the firm's capital. He or she will be
expected to play a leading role in the ongoing design, implementation,
and deployment of this system.

Although based within a financially secure organization, the group has
much of the characteristics of a high-tech startup: a hardworking
cooperative environment, no rigid boundaries, and excellent rewards for
superior performance. We are searching for intelligence, enthusiasm,
expertise, versatility, and maturity, rather than a predetermined number
of years of experience. The position will be based in our Silicon Valley
office located at Santa Clara, CA or our company headquarters in Jersey
City, NJ.

Requirements
* BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field, with a
high GPA.
* Demonstrated experience working on the design, implementation, and
deployment of large, complex software projects.
* High level of expertise in systems programming on UNIX and Windows.
* High level of expertise in a variety of programming languages,
including C/C++, Java, and scripting languages.
* Familiarity with database systems and languages, in particular Oracle
and SQL.
* Familiarity with software development tools, such as version control,
project management, and bug tracking systems.
* Ability to understand sophisticated mathematical and financial
concepts.
* Ability to take responsibility and work independently in a
high-pressure, time-critical environment.
* Ability to work cooperatively with programmers, traders, and
management.
* High attention to detail.
