Settlers Ball, tonight, the 25th of April.  You can email

This is an old-time, historical "Ball," set  in the 1870's, the time  The
Song of the Old Settler" was written. (You may know the song as "Acres of
Clams.")
TIme to get out your ball skirt! Or Rhett Butler vest.   It's a
fundraising event for
SisterScarf, a nonprofit refugee relief organization here on the Island,
and it features old-time dancing, live music with Country Capers and
caller Dina Blade--prizes for Best Costume, the Ultimate Raffle, and a
fabulous dessert bar.
Tickets are 30$ if you email Natalia by 5 pm or 50$ at the door
100% of the profit goes to microgrants and
emergency relief for Burmese refugees on the Thai border.
Music starts at 7:30, and the Ball opens with the Grand March at 8:00. Not
your average fundraiser!
