cable modem sharing

TO ALL: I have cable connection at home and some time I want to get on the
web from work.When I do that I have to use a moden that and a provider this
seams to be a wast since I live in the same area. Dose any one no how to
make my home pc a internet provider for 1 or 2 acounts. This way I can call
my home and use my cable over the phone line and save 20 dollors. I am
runing windows 98 at home and at work and do not realy want to chang.

I've never heard of an ISP using windows9x. :)

If you do find a piece of software that lets you connecto to your computer,
you will still need an regualr modem for the connection.

Anyone know of PCanywhere lets you do a dial-up connection?

You can use PC Anywhere over dial up, yes. I don't think it will accomplish what is wanted though.

Well, I know you can, but I don't know how. Besides if your subscriber
agreement is anything like mine it is against the rules, and I wouldn't be
surprised if you only last a couple weeks before you are found out. Plus
there are free dial up ISP's. The only drawbacks are speed, ad banner that
can't be cracked (sort of) and speed, and did I mention speed?
