It’s time for our June meeting. This month Dmitry from Cynergy Systems
will be giving a presentation on their winning entry for the Phizzpop
2008 finales and discuss his experiences and perspectives doing work
in both the Flex and Silverlight RIA landscapes.

Here’s a snippet from the press release regarding the application:
Held at South by Southwest Interactive (SXSW) in Austin, Texas on
Monday, March 10th, 2008, Cynergy presented its application known as
“ben”, a series of inter-connected, cross-platform applications that
leverage the power of Microsoft Silverlight, Windows Presentation
Foundation, Live Services, Twitter and VoIP technologies. “ben”, named
for Benjamin Franklin, captivated the excitement of the crowd of over
500 attendees with a dizzying array of features culminating as the
Cynergy team placed a call to Barack Obama from their Silverlight
Facebook application using VoIP technology and left a message “Hello
from SXSW” on the Obama campaign’s answering machine.

Time permitting, I’d then like to open up the floor and see if we
can’t get some discussion going around Design Patterns and Test Driven
Development.

Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the meeting as I have some
personal matters to attend to. Jonathan Spooner has kindly offered to
