Hi Mike,
Many thanks for the slide, we really need this for Vietnam community.
I have checked, the slide is great but I have some comments below:
1. Slide number 8, still has English words there
2. Slide number 9, “Individuals and interactions over Process and tools” I believe that we want to say “Individuals and interactions” is more important than “process and tools” but “process and tools” still have value. In Vietnamese if we use “thay cho” it may mean that we just need “Individuals and interactions” and we don’t need “process and tools”
3. Slide 11 in Vietnamese version: I don’t see a similar slide in the English version but in the slide 11 (Vietnamese) we try to explain some Scrum artifacts and events. These explanations are short so people may not understand them fully and correctly. E.g. “Daily scrum : Họp nhanh, báo cáo tiến độ mỗi ngày” -> “Daily scrum: Quick meeting, to report daily progress” people may think that it is a meeting not DSM
4. Slide 12: “potentially shippable product increment” should not be “sản phẩm tiềm năng cho lần lặp kế tiếp (potentially product for the next iteration)”, in my point of view it should be “sản phẩm tiềm năng có thể chạy được và dần được hoàn thiện hơn”
5. Slide 13 still has English words
6. Slide 14: “A constant duration leads to a better rhythm” => “Một khoảng thời gian nhất định sẽ tạo một nhịp điệu”. “A constant duration” is not “một khoảng thời gian nhất định (a certain amount of time)” it should be “Độ dài cố định (của Sprint)”. It is not correctly word by word but it has the same meaning
7. Slide 16: “Plan sprint durations around how long you can commit to keeping change out of the sprint” => “Lập mỗi sprint trong khoảng thời gian sao cho không có sự thay đổi nào (về yêu cầu/ chức năng -ND) trong mỗi sprint” I think the meaning of Vietnamese sentence is different with English version. I suggest “Lên kế hoạch cho mỗi sprint dựa vào thời gian có thể cam kết của mình để tránh thay đổi trong sprint”
8. Slide 16, 17: “Role” is not “con người” it should be “vai trò”
9. Slide 29, 30. Should not translate “Sprint retrospective” it is a proper name
10. In general, the translation is correct word by word but somehow it makes Vietnamese sentences are not easy to understand.
Cheers,
Son Nguyen
