I'm starting a new jQuery plugin for which I'd like to do screw.unit-
based BDD. The example folder in the screw.unit source (http://
github.com/nathansobo/screw-un it/tree/master/example/) seems a bit out-
of-date. Some issues:
* jQuery.fn is now part of jQuery-1.3.2, not a separate file
* screw.builder is not a screw.unit source file

Hey,

I just posted this to the blueridgejs group but then realised that it
would be better to post here....

Within my application I'm using the Shadowbox light box script to
display forms and messages to the users.

I'm trying to define a few specs to ensure that everything continues
to work as expected, this is what I have at the moment.

I would imagine you'd have to make changes. They're similar, but not
identical.
If you didn't want to bite that off, you could look at the fork I
mentioned, or maybe someone else has a fork that has something wait-
like that they're actively maintaining and want to volunteer.

thanks your help.
I think waits() and runs() of Jasmine will resolve this issue.
But I have write lots of screw.unit test.
could I switch to Jasmine lib without changes on my test src?

Some, but not all, forks of Screw.Unit have timeout support. [link]
is fork that does. Jasmine ([link]) has a
syntax pretty close to Scre.Unit and has timeout support.

Hi all,
Due to some setTimeout js src, e.g. jquery.autocomplete, so that I
want to test it as following:
it("test jQuery autoComplete", function(){
setTimeout(function(){
expect(2).to(equal, $(".ac_result").find("li").len gth);
},300);

});

but it always pass in screw.unit even if the expect will throw

All,
I'm sorry. I hadn't realized the Screw.Unit mailing list was getting
so spammy. My Gmail account was filtering it for me, but Google
Groups was letting it through to the group.
I've turned on first-post moderation, so hopefully this will take care
of most of it.

Cool. I'll look into your repo more.
This I want to look into. I like that SU has been very lightweight. I
like the option of being able to run with or without a server. qunit
has a flag that can include/exclude tests depending on whether running
against a server or not.
Other people have had the same thoughts as you, though: recently the

After taking a look at BlueRidge, it seems like some of the things
I've added to Screw fit oddly with it. Originally Screw was conceived
as a pure JS solution. I decided I wanted a baked-in HTTP server for
the facilities it could provide. But BlueRidge is running things in
Rhino I take it? The HTTP server isn't really useful in a browser-free

realize there was a Google Group or that anyone cared about my fork. I
am a happy user of my fork and really think it represents some
fundamental improvements over the original ScrewUnit. ScrewUnit has

thanks to your kindly reply.
1, after test screw.unit example file by IE 6,7&8, I found that it
only executed the scripts but it only show a empty page without
display the "describe" or "it" comments. anyone get it like this?
