1) There is no link on the sidebar to create a view. There is only one at the footer, which is hard to find. Maybe you can add a link below the "New scraper" at the sideabar?

2) A footer[1] is added to the Ruby views which makes xml / rss outputs invalid. Is there a way to remove that footer?

[1]: <div id="scraperwikipane" style="border:thin #aaf solid; display:block; position:fixed; top:0px; right:0px; background:#eef; margin: 0em; padding: 6pt; font-size: 10pt; z-index: 8675309; ;"><a href="http://scraperwiki.com/views/test_18/" id="scraperwikipane" style="width:167px; height:17px; margin:0; padding: 0; border-style: none; "><img style="border-style: none" src="http://media.scraperwiki.com/images/powered.png" alt="Powered by ScraperWiki"></a></div>

Regarding 2):

You need to call the (undocumented, I see!) function:
ScraperWiki.httpresponseheader
And set the "Content-Type" to the mime type you're using. It should only
add the magic footer to things that are HTML.

Julian, could you add that function to the documentation?

Just to add regarding 1) that we've fixed it in a site design update,
should be live next week.

Thanks for reporting it!

Any luck with 2)?

Francis
